Shiatsu treatment for lack of energy and vitality

 

 

The medial side of the legs is directly related with physical energy, according to Oriental Medicine this part of the legs belongs to the kidney meridian. Any dysfunction of the kidney, can affect to the genital apparatus, together with physical and mental stress it is common from the age of 30.

We can tell that one of three persons that have any of these characteristics will suffer impotence.

To avoid and improve this pathology we’re going to do an easy and effective exercise:

 

1.- Sitting on the floor with the legs open but without stretching the muscle too much.

2.- Now touch with both hands one foot and maintain the position for some seconds. Repeat the same movement with the other foot.

3.- In the same position move the trunk forward to touch the floor.  Feeling the stretching in the medial side of the muscle.

 

Do these exercises once a day, everyday, it is very effective.

 

 

 
 
Circulatory Problems

 

In this article we are going to talk about an exercise to regulate the working of the heart, reduce stress and help to get a longer life.

This exercise it is recommended by Toru Namikoshi Sensei from the Japan Shiatsu Collage of Tokyo and it’s easy to practice.

 

A.- Massage with the left hand all the fingers of the right hand with pressures and frictions, we’ll insist in the zone of the nails and specially on the little finger. Then we will continue with the left hand. 

 

 

 

B.- Now we take inside the right fist the left little finger and elevate the arms over the head, inclining to the right, pushing from the little finger and stretching the lateral side of the left arm and trunk.

We keep the stretching breathing wide, change arm and repeat the exercise.

 

 

With this simple exercise we stimulate the heart meridian, prevent the numbness of the forearms. The image below shows you the way of the heart meridian.

 

 

 

 

 

 
 
Exercises to Prevent Lumbago 30/06/08

 

Lumbago is a common pathology in occident. Due to the structure of the occidental skeleton, with an exaggerate lumbar lordosis, the number of people affected is very high.  More over, other pathologies that affect to the skeleton structure make worse the situation : hormonal or degenerative problems added to the hiper lordosis provoke more problems.  

 

At our school we treat this pathology with enormous success using Shiatsu and Sotai ho technique. But treatment won’t be complete without the implication of the user. It is for that reason that we always recommend them some simple exercises to prevent or get well lumbago

 

If the origin is due a degenerative reason, exercises are concentrated at the psoas iliaco muscle, the muscular chains of the inferior part and the posterior part of the body.  The age and some degenerative articulation illness make those muscles work worse, making wake the lumbar zone that suffer the consequences.  

We suggest the following exercises:

 

 

If the origin is due to an excessive lumbar curvature the exercises focus the work in the flexibility of the articulation lumbo sacra without extend it, which will get worse the lumbar problem. We suggest working the flexion and the rotations that liberate the muscles that have the origin in the lumbar zone and iliac crest. The exercises are the following:

 

When the origin is owing to hormonal imbalance (mainly suffered by women) the exercises are concentrated in the inferior part of the legs.  Accordingly with the Oriental Medicine, this zone rules the way of the blood and the hormonal manage.   In this case we suggest the following exercises:

 

We advise doing these exercises at least once per day. Moreover, if you receive shiatsu regularly, the action on the pathology will be most important and quicker.  We insist that implication of the person suffering the pathology is needed.  Propose too many or too complicated exercises it useless as at the end the people stop the practicing. For that reason, we recommend six or seven easy exercises that only take a few minutes to do.
