The Japanese Shiatsu School, has signed an agreement with the Real Centro Universitario del Escorial, within the framework of Philippus. In which a University extension certificate is awarded to Shiatsu students once they had approved the exams , under the supervision of Dr. Angel Maria Garrido.

Each year the number of Namikoshi Shiatsu Associated Instructors is increasing, the association began with a few members of Spain and now has schools in Portugal, Italy, France Holland and Switzerland.

When an event such important as the event that took place last weekend happends and allow us to meet in the same place, to do what we like, I realize that Shiatsu is something special, without speaking the same language we all understand perfectly each other.

People invited to this event, were instructors with years of experience in training and new colleagues who wanted to join the association to become instructors of Shiatsu.

Namikoshi Shiatsu Europe is an association that in addition to support its partners with course material, provides the assurance that their instructors perform annual testing to verify that they are adequately prepared to properly train their students.

Yuji Namikoshi , Sensei wanted this time to examine new and renewing instructors to upgrade in 2010.

The event began with the presentation of each country, the theachers and candidates were introduced, Yuji Namikoshi and later Junichi Kurosawa were introduced and began the practice of shiatsu.

Later on, took place the theorical test consisting of 35 multiple choice questions.

Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy the company of  Yuji Namikoshi and Junich Kurosawa and to receive shiatsu from its colleagues.

Was a very pleasant experience for everyone!

We will have to wait a pair of years to repeat this special meeting,  whising you all have passed 

One living legends of Sotai Ho in Japan, will visit Madrid invited by Japanesse Shiatsu School. Hiroshi Miura Sensei is one of the best examples of this therapy. It is one of the few direct pupils of Keizo Hashimoto sotai’s creator. 

Hiroshi Miura has raised Hashimoto therapy to a high level. It combines the basis of Sotai Ho with a through study of the body’s structure and relationship of all its parts. His method focuses on the work on distal areas of the body to reach the large ones.

Shigeru Onoda is pupil of Miura since 20 years ago, and travel to Japan frequently  to attend different courses . The Japan Shiatsu School in Madrid is responsible to teach and disseminate Sotai Ho in Europe.  It has also incorporated this technique and philosophy to his own shiatsu style.

The Seminar will take place next September 2010 in Madrid. A unique opportunity to attend a single lecture.
